Wokingham Auctions offer a comprehensive valuation service to vendors intending to sell items, without obligation, in the strictest of confidence.
In the first instance we recommend sending photos by email: email@example.com especially for larger items as we can have a good idea even from photos what is on offer. Then, if a house call is worthwhile, we can arrange a time and date to visit and even transport the goods for a nominal fee.
We also host regular valuation / open days at various locations inviting you to meet our experts.
Consigning for sale
A sale contract of receipt is issued for items consigned for sale, which details our terms of engagement in accordance with our conditions of sale. All lots are given pre-sale estimates from which reserves may be placed indicating the minimum price at which the lot may be sold.
Any reserves must be agreed with the Auctioneer in advance of sale. We do not accept reserves on lots valued under £100 and reserves cannot be above the lower catalogue estimate.
Every sale has a fully illustrated online catalogue on the-saleroom.com and Invaluable.com for live internet bidding.
Pre & Post Sale
A pre-sale advice notification is issued by email prior to sale detailing the sale date time together with descriptions of each lot and agreed estimates.
Any item withdrawn within fourteen days of the sale date will incur a charge of 15% of the mid estimate along with lotting fees and other agreed charges, plus VAT
Payment is issued approximately twenty-one working days from the date of sale by bank transfer together with a statement attached detailing all appropriate taxes and charges.
Payment will only be made when all monies due from the buyer have been paid and cleared in accordance with our conditions of sale.
Charges & Deductions: Commission

A lotting fee of £10 per item + VAT is charged on each item. No added charges are included for photography or internet inclusion.
