A Please Please Me, Beatles debut album signed by John, Paul, George and Ringo fetched just under £12,000 (inclusive of fees) at Wokingham Auctions April 27th sale at Wokingham Town Hall. Absentee bids came flooding in from Canada, Australia and Germany as soon as the online catalogue was uploaded to the-saleroom.com and Invaluable.com live bidding portals, but the winning bid came from the south coast of England via a telephone bid in the room.

This first edition of the 1963, George Martin produced release has long been a collector's item so having the four signatures on the LP sleeve really gave it high appeal among the still legion of fans around the world.  It was acquired during a regular Tuesday morning valuation session at The Vintage Look, Henley-on-Thames (where Ringo Starr lived for a period).
